Units of the College Vice Deanship for Academic Affairs and Development

Educational Affairs and Examinations Unit

Responsibilities of the Educational Affairs and Examinations Unit:

  • Preparing class schedules.

  • Organizing course registration, add and drop processes for all college courses.

  • Organizing course withdrawal, semester withdrawal, and re enrollment procedures.

  • Receiving exam papers from other colleges.

  • Organizing midterm examinations and makeup examinations.

  • Organizing examination committees and assigning invigilators during exams.

Student Activities Unit

Responsibilities of the Student Activities Unit:

  • Organizing extracurricular activities in the college.

  • Communicating with students and involving them in student activity events such as trips, theater, and internal and external cultural competitions.

  • Supervising the organization of exhibitions inside the college.

Guidance, Counseling, and Student Rights Unit

Responsibilities of the Guidance, Counseling, and Student Rights Unit:

  • Receiving and guiding new students, introducing them to the college and its departments, and preparing them for academic study and university life.

  • Providing academic, psychological, social, and educational counseling to students.

  • Supporting students with low academic performance and gifted students, and studying cases that require financial support from the Student Fund.

  • Supporting student rights in accordance with university regulations and promoting a culture of fairness and equity among students.

  • Providing necessary consultations to students and informing them of their university rights and how to obtain them through official channels.

Quality Assurance and University Vision Achievement Unit

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance and University Vision Achievement Unit:

  • Promoting a culture of quality, evaluating performance levels, and implementing and following up on evaluation and academic accreditation processes.

  • Continuously collecting data and information on quality activities in the college, documenting efforts and results in all quality and accreditation activities, and participating in developing and implementing the college strategic plans.

  • Preparing reports on performance levels and beneficiary satisfaction with various activities.

  • Supervising measurement and evaluation activities in the college, following up on results, and providing recommendations based on these results to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Development.

  • Promoting a culture of evaluation among students and encouraging their participation by raising awareness of the benefits to the educational process through participation in evaluation surveys.

  • Following up on initiatives implemented by the college to achieve the university vision and submitting follow up reports to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Development.

Alumni Unit

Unit Objectives:

  • Strengthening communication with alumni, organizing regular meetings, and reinforcing the exchange of opinions and information between the college and its graduates.

  • Bridging the skills and knowledge gap between academic programs and labor market requirements by benefiting from alumni expertise and involving them in providing feedback on programs and study plans.

  • Identifying professional challenges faced by alumni and using them in proper planning for academic programs.

Unit Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and studying the status of college graduates.

  • Establishing and regularly updating an alumni database.

  • Establishing a database of institutions and companies related to alumni and the labor market.

  • Communicating with alumni, collecting their feedback, and promoting a culture of self marketing among them.

  • Measuring alumni satisfaction levels and providing survey results to the concerned departments.

  • Preparing lists of expected graduates and graduated students.

  • Preparing the annual report of the unit.

  • Organizing annual alumni meetings to exchange experiences between graduates and academic programs.

  • Conducting workshops to equip students expected to graduate with skills that increase employment opportunities.

  • Holding periodic meetings with the University Career Guidance and Professional Development Administration.

Practical and Cooperative Training Unit

Responsibilities of the Practical and Cooperative Training Unit:

  • Communicating with external training organizations to secure training opportunities for students.

  • Announcing training opportunities to college students and following up on their training through performance reports from training organizations and student satisfaction surveys.

  • Preparing reports on the training process and submitting them to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Development.
